This Privacy Policy describes how Shrawan Kumar Upadhyay HUF (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operating the Future Path Intelligence Platform (“Platform” or “FPIP”) at app.futurepathcounselling.in, collects, uses, and protects your personal information. This policy is in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

  • Full name, email address, phone number
  • Date of birth and gender (optional)
  • City, state, and country of residence
  • School/institution name, class level, academic stream, and board
  • Password (stored in encrypted form — we never store plain-text passwords)

2.2 Assessment Data (Sensitive Personal Data)

This is special category information under the IT Rules, 2011. It includes:

  • Your responses to assessment questions (interests, personality, aptitude, learning style, values)
  • Psychometric profile data derived from your responses (Big Five personality scores, Holland RIASEC code, aptitude scores)
  • Career compatibility scores across 19 career ecosystems
  • Your generated Human Development Blueprint™ report

2.3 Payment Information

We process payments through Cashfree Payments. We do not store card numbers, CVV, or banking credentials on our servers. We store only the order ID, payment status, and amount — no sensitive financial data.

2.4 Usage Data

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, assessment progress
  • Session cookies and authentication tokens

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the service: Generate your assessment, produce your Human Development Blueprint, and display your report.
  • AI-assisted report generation: Your assessment responses and psychometric profile are sent to Anthropic PBC (makers of Claude AI) for report generation. See Section 5 for third-party disclosures.
  • Payment processing: To collect and process fees for report unlocking and counselling services via Cashfree Payments.
  • Communication: To send you assessment completion notifications, payment confirmations, and platform updates. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.
  • Legal compliance: To comply with applicable Indian laws and respond to lawful government requests.

4. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is designed for students including minors below 18 years of age. If the user is below 18, we require parental or guardian consent. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information without consent may contact us at info@futurepathcounselling.in to request deletion of that information. We will not knowingly use a minor's data for purposes beyond providing the requested educational assessment service.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We share your data with the following third parties solely to provide the service:

Anthropic PBC (Claude AI)
AI-assisted report generation. Your anonymised psychometric profile and assessment data are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your Human Development Blueprint. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models (per their API usage policy).
Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd.
Payment processing for report unlock and counselling session fees. Cashfree processes card and UPI transactions. We do not receive or store your card details.
Hostinger International Ltd.
Cloud hosting and infrastructure. Your data is stored on servers that may be located in India or the EEA. All data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for the duration of your account and for 3 years after account deletion to comply with legal obligations.
  • Assessment and report data: Retained for 5 years from the date of assessment to allow you to access your reports.
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by the Income Tax Act, 1961.
  • Usage logs: Retained for 90 days for security monitoring.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures including: AES-256 encryption for data at rest, TLS 1.3 for data in transit, bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication with expiry, access controls with principle of least privilege, and regular security audits. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent for processing at any time (this will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
  • Data portability: Request your assessment data in a portable format.
